Jay Peluso, LMSC Coaches Committee chair, has put out the first edition of the LMSC Coaches Newsletter. Primarily aimed at masters coaches, it will be published on a quarterly basis. In this issue:

• A sample practice taken from Betsy’s 1-Hr Workouts.
• Description of SwimFest 2011, to be held May 20-22 in Atlanta. Stay tuned for registration info; see video below (from SwimFest 2010) for an idea of what’s in store.
• Description of the USMS Coaches Certification class hosted by WAVA on March 5-6 in Warrenton, VA.
• Description of the Open Water Safety Conference to be held March 18-20 in San Francisco.
