Results for the Betsy Owens Memorial Lake Swim have been posted; this was the USMS 2-Mile Cable National Championship, held Aug 13, 2011. At least 6 swimmers from our LMSC — Kim Guenther, Laura Jones, Rob Jones, Frank Lea, Shirley Loftus-Charley, and Catherine Ventura-Merkel — made the trek to scenic Lake Placid to compete (if I missed anyone, please let me know). Shirley won a national title, while Frank and Rob both nabbed 2nd place finishes. The Adirondack LMSC has posted photos of the race.
