A few LMSC members have traveled out of state to post some impressive results in some recent meets.

• VMST members Patty and Jim Miller went to Brazil to compete in the 2011 Pan American Masters Championships. And they were joined by quite a few other USMS swimmers. They made the trip worthwhile, with Patty winning three events. If Rio is too far for you, no worries: Sarasota is hosting the 2013 Pan Am games!
• Nine LMSC members (6 from VMST, 3 Unattached) went to the Last Chance SCM Meet. All swam well, but Shirley Loftus-Charley and Beth Schreiner were particularly impressive in setting three LMSC records apiece. With these swims, Shirley completed her sweep of SCM records in her new age group; even more impressive is that she set all records in the past year! Lee Robertson also set two new LMSC records.
• Betsy Durrant (VMST) and Pam Dameron (QMST) went up to Boston to swim in the New England LMSC Championships. They made their presence felt, claiming 8 first-place finishes between them. Each swimmer also set one new LMSC record, coincidentally in the same event: the 800 free.
