  3. What a great meet! As mentioned above the Stevensons run an awesome meet. It ran smoothly, had wonderful food and the double pools for warm up and cool down are a luxury!

    • Kelly, great to cheer you on to your record today! The last 30 some second lap was incredible. 🙂

I want to add a few things, not only that the Stevensons’ are the only ones who run meets like clockwork:

I am grateful that they put a short break between the 400 IM and 500 free today and for combining the women’s 2 heats into 1. First, for giving Shirley a 5 min breather between the races, thank you for looking out for the safety of the swimmers first and above all. Second, for not making me swim alone, even if was next to Speedy Gonzalez LOL.

Next, the format was really great. I think it spread the various events out enough and we still got done quickly. An excellent balance.

I do hope we will see who did the special awards they put out. They really should be advertised more so that we can get people to try and exercise more or challenge themselves more.

I asked a coach why, when my group was doing races, people only did 1 or 3 races (specific stroke). I was told people swam what they did well. I’d like people to challenge themselves and do some they don’t do well in, to stretch themselves. This is masters, we don’t have to stick to one thing. You can learn a lot from those lessons. 🙂
