Sunbelt Championship Meet Results
Results have been posted; congratulations to all participants!
3000/6000 Yard Postal Championships
Results have been posted for the 3000 and 6000 yard postal national championships. Three LMSC members participated, winning several national championship crowns and setting one new national record.
SCM Zone Championships
A handful of VMST swimmers — seven — traveled to Boston to represent the LMSC at the 2010 SCM Colonies Zone Championship, but what a handful!
Results from October Meets
It’s early in the season yet, but nonetheless 15 new LMSC records have been set in October!
Postal 5K and 10K National Championship Results
The final results for the USMS 5K/10K Postal Championships have been posted. These distances were performed in 50m pools. At least three swimmers from our LMSC participated in this event.
Results from Chesapeakeman Swim Fest
Braving the waters of the Choptank were three teammates — Joni Briganti, Danielle Beach, and Rob Allen — from the Fredericksburg American Family Fitness (FAFF) masters team.
Smith Mountain Lake Results
A number of swimmers from our LMSC participated in one or more of the Smith Mountain Lake Open Water races held on Sept. 25-26.
VMST wins 2010 LCM Zone Championship
The Colonies Zone LCM Championship was held in College Park, MD on Aug 21-22. There were 38 swimmers from our LMSC entered, representing 4 different clubs: QMST (1), SHYM (1), UNAT (2), VMST (30), WAVA (4). The unofficial results have been uploaded.
USMS Summer Nationals Results
Seventeen swimmers from our LMSC journeyed to Puerto Rico for the USMS 2010 Summer Nationals, with excellent results!
Maryland Series LCM Meet Results
A handful of LMSC members travelled to Baltimore for the Maryland Association Swim Series Summer LCM Meet held on Aug 7 at UMBC. The official meet results have been uploaded.
Impressive Performances in July
LMSC swimmers have been active recently, setting eight LMSC records in the last month.
Chris Greene Lake Results Posted
VMST hosted the USMS 2-mile Cable National Championship on July 10 at Chris Greene Lake, Charlottesville, VA. The official results have been added to the website, and the race was featured in an entry of competitor Rob Dumouchel’s blog, RobAquatics.
