Zones Entry Deadline Approaches!

If you’ve been putting it off, it is time to register for the 2013 Colonies Zone Long Course Championship! Come swim in a great facility, the first-ever sanctioned masters meet in the pool used for the 2008 US Olympic Trials.

New Event: Lake Moomaw Open Water Swim

We have a new Open Water swim in our LMSC: the Lake Moomaw 1-Mile Open Water Swim.

Spring Championships Roster

Springtime means short-course championship season for 68 LMSC members! Cheer on your teammates in the Colonies Zone SCY Championship and the USMS Spring National Championship.

Chris Greene Entries Open

Registration is now open for the 2013 Chris Greene Lake cable swims! This year there will be two races (1-mile and 2-mile), held on July 13. Hope to see you there!

The Distance Backup Plan

The Colonies Zone SCY Championship meet is highly recommended, but the distance events are full. Thankfully, Terrapin Masters has stepped up to host The Backup Plan 1000/1650 Meet at a nearby pool.

Enter Colonies Zone Championship in Virginia

VMST is proud to host the 2013 Colonies Zone Long Course Championship on June 22-23. This will be held at a brand new facility in Richmond, VA. Online entries will open at 8am on Saturday Feb 16. Don’t delay, enter early!

Championship Meets

Championship meets are an excellent way to motivate yourself in training and to interact with people that you don’t normally see. Three SCY championship meets always seem to get plenty of interest from LMSC members.

See Your Name in Lights

VMST is looking for sponsors for the 2013 LCM Colonies Zone Championship meet that will be held in Richmond on June 22-23. This will be a premiere event, held at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center, which houses the pool used for the 2008 US Olympic Trials.

David Gregg Meet Information

Meet information is now available for the annual VMST David Gregg III Memorial meet.

Gear Up for Spring Nationals!

It isn’t too early to start planning for the 2013 USMS Spring National Championship, which will be held in one of the most famous swimming facilities in the country, the Indiana University Natatorium.

Mailing It In

In a postal swim, you compete in a pool of your choosing, and send your results in electronically or by mail. No muss, no fuss, no one to race against but the clock.
