Recent Updates to Upcoming Events
The Upcoming Events Page has recently been updated with two new open water events, and updated information for two other events. One new event is the Potomac River Sharkfest but you better hurry: the pre-registration deadline is May 19 at 11:59pm (race-day registration also available).
Last Chance Distance Meet
Information has been posted for the Terrapin Masters 2011 Last Chance Distance Meet, to be held at the University of Maryland on Sunday, May 15.
5K and 10K Postal Championships
Indy SwimFit is hosting the 2011 USMS 5K and 10K Postal National Championship. This must be done in a 50m pool between May 15 and Sept 15. Online and paper entries are due Sept 25 for individuals, while relay entries are due by Oct 5.
It’s Championship Season!
The 2010-11 Short-Course Yards season ends on June 1, but not before some fast championship meets: Colonies Zone SCY Championship, YMCA Masters Nationals, and USMS Spring Nationals.
Freestyle Clinic in Virginia Beach
Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen, who has broken over 200 world records and is a four-time World Masters Swimmer of the Year, is hosting two sessions of the Aquatic Edge Faster Freestyle Clinic in Virginia Beach on June 11 and 12.
Chris Greene Cable Swim Registration is Open
Registration for the Chris Greene Lake 1-mile and 2-mile cable swims is now open! The event, hosted by VMST, will be held on July 9, 2011, in Charlottesville, VA.
2011 Colonies Zone LCM Championship
The 2011 Colonies Zone Long Course Meters (LCM) championship will be held at Middlebury College (VT) on June 24-26, 2011.
Jack King Ocean Swim Entry Form
The entry form for the 28th Annual Jack King One Mile Ocean Swim, hosted by VMST, has been uploaded.

USMS 5K Open Water National Championship
Are you up for a trip to Coney Island in the summer? The USMS 5K Open Water National Championship will be held August 6. Online and paper entries are available.
