Anything Goes!

On October 16, Warrenton Masters and Reston Masters will co-host the Anything Goes SCY Relay Carnival in Warrenton, VA. It is a relay-only meet with some oddball events in the mix: sounds like fun!

Last Chances for Long Course

Summer Nationals are coming (Aug 3-6), and our LMSC will be represented by 17 members. Even if you aren’t going to nationals, you have three more chances to swim in a nearby LCM meet before the 2011 season ends.

Colonies Zone Open Water Championship

On August 27-28, 2011, there will be three open water swims (2.5K, 5K, 10K)  at Hague Public Beach on Lake George, NY. The 2.5K race has been designated as the 2011 Colonies Zone Open Water Championship.

Ready for a Challenge?

There is still plenty of time to do the Check-off Challenge! This is a non-competition postal event: you have to complete each of the 18 pool events (any course: meters or yards, short-course or long-course) and one open water swim.

Jack King: Last Chance for Early Registration

The Jack King 1-mile Ocean swim is this weekend in Virginia Beach on Sunday, June 26. Race-day registration is available, but the fee jumps to $50 after June 24. Don’t wait, register online (preferred) or by mail!

Nearby Long Course Meets

Two one-day LCM meets have recently been added to the Upcoming Events calendar: the Eastern North Carolina Long Course Splash (June 25 in Goldsboro, NC) and the DCRP 30th Annual Long Course Meet (July 17 in Washington, DC).

Online Entry for Nationals and Jack King

Online entry has been added to two upcoming events: the Jack King 1-Mile Ocean Swim (June 26 in Virginia Beach) and USMS Summer National Championship (Aug 3-6 in Auburn, AL).

Recent Updates to Upcoming Events

The Upcoming Events Page has recently been updated with two new open water events, and updated information for two other events. One new event is the Potomac River Sharkfest but you better hurry: the pre-registration deadline is May 19 at 11:59pm (race-day registration also available).
