The final Top Ten listings for the 2011 Short-Course Meters (SCM) season have been published, and as usual the swimmers in our LMSC performed extremely well!
Results for the 2012 VMST David Gregg III Memorial Meet have been uploaded.
A few LMSC members have traveled out of state to post some impressive results in some recent meets.
The final USMS Top 10 lists have been published for the 2011 LCM season, which ran Oct 1, 2010 – Sept 30, 2011. The season was marked by many great performances by our LMSC.
Thirty-one members of the LMSC traveled to Mesa, AZ to participate in the 2011 USMS Spring National Championship to post some great swims! The results have been uploaded to the website.
The Ransom J. Arthur Award, named for Captain Ransom J. Arthur, M.D., the founder of Masters Swimming, is presented annually to the person who has done the most to further the objectives of Masters swimming programs. Nominations are due to Sally Dillon, Chair of the USMS Recognition & Awards Committee, by March 15, 2011.
SWIMMER magazine has a nice web workout by Cokie Lepinski. And Betsy Durrant’s long-running thread, Betsy’s 1 Hr Workouts, is also updated frequently.
A number of swimmers have achieved over 100 Top Ten swims while swimming as a member of our LMSC. Barbara Zaremski, Betsy Durrant and Lisa Bennett deserve special recognition for their incredible perseverance.
