Sixty-three swimmers from our LMSC participated in the Long Course National Championship meet that was held Aug 13-17 in College Park, MD. Our swimmers did great! We have photos too.
Six swimmers from our LMSC participated in the 2014 USMS Spring National Championship, held last weekend (May 1-4) in the historic George F. Haines International Swim Center in Santa Clara, CA.
Due to bad weather, the 2014 USMS One-Hour Postal National Championship has been extended to February 10.
A small contingent of six VMST swimmers traveled to Mission Viejo, CA, to participate in the USMS Summer National Championship on Aug 7-11.
Results from the 2013 USMS Spring National Championship are now available! Nationals were held May 9-12 at Indianapolis, and 23 of our members made the trip. They did great!
Springtime means short-course championship season for 68 LMSC members! Cheer on your teammates in the Colonies Zone SCY Championship and the USMS Spring National Championship.
Championship meets are an excellent way to motivate yourself in training and to interact with people that you don’t normally see. Three SCY championship meets always seem to get plenty of interest from LMSC members.
Results for the 3000/6000 Postal National Championships have been finalized. There were 19 swimmers from our LMSC who participated in at least one of the postal events, including four stalwarts who did both events.
It isn’t too early to start planning for the 2013 USMS Spring National Championship, which will be held in one of the most famous swimming facilities in the country, the Indiana University Natatorium.
Results are now available for the USMS 1-Mile Open Water Swim National Championship that was held in beautiful Lake Lure, NC on Aug 25. This event was part of the larger Lake Lure Olympiad Sport Festival, and about 180 swimmers took part in the championship race.
Recently USMS has awarded bids received for four national championships.
Results from the 2012 USMS Summer Nationals are now available. A small contingent of 10 LMSC swimmers swam at the pool in Omaha that had just been used for the US Olympic Trials.
