If you’ve been putting it off, it is time to register for the 2013 Colonies Zone Long Course Championship! Come swim in a great facility, the first-ever sanctioned masters meet in the pool used for the 2008 US Olympic Trials.
Results from the 2013 Short Course Colonies Zone Championship have been uploaded! Links to the results from two other April meets — the NC LMSC Championship and The Backup Plan distance meet — have also been posted on our web site. There are some photos too!
Championship meets are an excellent way to motivate yourself in training and to interact with people that you don’t normally see. Three SCY championship meets always seem to get plenty of interest from LMSC members.
VMST is looking for sponsors for the 2013 LCM Colonies Zone Championship meet that will be held in Richmond on June 22-23. This will be a premiere event, held at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center, which houses the pool used for the 2008 US Olympic Trials.

On August 27-28, 2011, there will be three open water swims (2.5K, 5K, 10K) at Hague Public Beach on Lake George, NY. The 2.5K race has been designated as the 2011 Colonies Zone Open Water Championship.
There were two championship meets held in mid-April: YMCA Masters Nationals (Apr 14-17) and Colonies Zone SCY Championship (Apr 15-17). An impressive 76 members of our LMSC participated in one of these meets!
The 2011 Colonies Zone Long Course Meters (LCM) championship will be held at Middlebury College (VT) on June 24-26, 2011.
